  We sheet mulched our front yard last November. 2/3 will be planted in California natives and 1/3 in fruits and vetatables. the whole yard was covered in cardboard I gathered myself for free and friends helped me put it down, several layers. Then I got free tree trimings ran through a chipper for mulch. The vegie garden part also has sea weed, wheat straw, horse manure and the tree mulch. All was free except the straw I bought at Lomita Feed.
