  Only Using Needed Water in home, with a yard that does not need water. 1 CCF per month. Planting Veggies in the wet spring and fall and allowing perma-culture strawberries and mint and herbs to grow in summer. Getting some fruit from berries and apple trees. Using native Plants other than a few food plants. Drain spout runs into garden deeply mulched with home composts and coffee shop grounds, then water flows to trees. A variety of native birds are found in the small yard.
