• Description:
  A long, grassy and weedy area in front of the school was removed and basins created to sponge up rainwater. The rain gutter downspouts were directed into the basins, and native and climate appropriate plants were installed. The students helped to install part of the garden and help with maintenance. The garden was designed by a design-build contractor and funded by a California Proposition 50 IRWM grant.
