  Clean modern remodel of the house needed a matching approach to the garden. They hired Joel Lichtenwalter of Grow Outdoor Design. Joel used low water-using plants such as succulents and CA native buckwheats in the inviting yet private front entrance garden with a gravel Courtyard shaded by a specimen Palo Verde ‘Desert Museum’ tree. The back yard fire pit and conversation area is a buzz with pollinators enjoying the Arbutus Unedo, salvias, succulents and a second specimen Palo Verde.
