  We recently added a ocean garden in our front yard that is approximately 1.5 miles from Swamis Point. The yard consisted of rocks over a plastic tarp prior to the transformation. The rocks were removed and native vegetation was added including local Del Mar Manzanita, Pacific Mist Manzanita, Penstemon Margarita Bop, Dudleya Britonii, Conejo Buckwheat, Desert Mallow, Yucca Wipplei, California Fuschia, Terra Seca Sage, Desert Willow 'Pink Blush', Galvisia Speciosia 'Firecracker', and Ceanothus Meritimus to provide border cover. There were also native rocks used to form a dry stream that a downspout enters into. A DG walkway allows people to casually walk through the garden and enjoy their surroundings.
