  Every two years, Patagonia Inc. takes on a new campaign. During one campaign cycle, they focused on water - and applied it to their own facilities. They not only re-did the landscaping at their store and headquarters to be Ocean Friendly, they also cut the curb that separates parking lots from the landscaping. So now the runoff from the parking lots flows to landscaping to be filtered and sponged up by plants (with excess helping the Ventura River to flow and to recharge deeper groundwater), rather than flowing to storm drains and out to the ocean, unfiltered.
