  -Before: The front yard of the residence was of a tropical plant palette: a variety of palm tree species, and also a turf area around 400 sq.ft. -After: a complete removal of all species and turf. A 85 sq. ft. bio-swale was installed to capture rainwater from 800 sq ft. of roof area. The garden was sown with a cover crop to increase water retention abilities and soil fertility. It has a decomposed granite pathway, native plants, and 2-3” “Gorilla Hair” mulch (Shredded redwood).
