  This front yard was transformed in a joint project between the Green Gardens Group (www.greengardensgroup.com) and the City of Oxnard in December 2016. We took a sad Bermuda lawn and transformed it into a colorful habitat garden. Large swales are designed to capture all of the rainwater from the roof. Although the garden has drip irrigation, the homeowner has relied mostly on infrequent hand-watering and a heavy layer of mulch with great success.
